<p class="bodytext">Now your mobile phone can act as your personal guide in the airport - se our demonstration the 11th November 16.00-18.30 hours at the IT-University, Rued Langgaardsvej 7, 2300 København S, Auditorium 4.</p>
<p class="bodytext">The experiences from the SPOPOS-project show, that the newest technology on the area of indoor positioning offers the customers security and a comprehensive view when moving about in the airport. On your mobile phone you can get information concerning where you are and how far away from your gate you are located. Accordingly your stay in the airport becomes more relaxed, since you know you will always have updates about changes and about how to navigate to the gate from your location.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">In the end of August Lone Malmborg (ITU) presented SPOPOS on the 12th Interact conference held in Uppsala. The presentation was about about privacy aspects of providing services for passengers based on tracking of their movements.</p>
<p class="bodytext">The theme of the INTERACT 2009 conference was <i>Research and Practice</i>, addresses the issue of continuity between theory and practice in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research. The main focus was on research that is reflected in real-world applications.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="bodytext">With around 100 companies and other organizations participating in MobileMonday about tracking and positioning as it's point of departure, a new interestgroup about indoor tracking and positioning is now founded in a collaboration with InfinIT.</p>
<p class="bodytext">The interestgroup will gather companies and researchers who whish to be a step ahead concerning innovation on the area of positioning and tracking, and will offer the possibility of participating in relevant theme- and networkingevents etc.  </p>

<p class="bodytext">The Alexandra Institute, InfinIT, and Crossroads Copenhagen invited to MobileMonday Copenhagen on June the 8th at The IT-University in Copenhagen, where SPOPOS was presented</p>
<p class="bodytext">Taking the questions of how it can be possible to: </p><ul><li>deliver relevant positionbased information and services</li><li>optimize the arrangement of shopping areas</li><li>avoid bottlenecks and queues</li></ul><p class="bodytext">as his point of departure Associate Professor John Paulin presented SPOPOS and the various services that are already a part of&nbsp;SPOPOS as well as he pointed out the services that might be coming in the near future.<br /><br />Succeding John Paulin Head of Research and  Innovation at The Alexandra Institute  Andy Drysdale reported on the possibilities and recent initiatives on the areau of&nbsp;pervasive positioning in Denmark and invited to cooperation in new development projects.<br /><br />Following him Manager Fabio Cujino from&nbsp;Safari Development presented the Company Talking Letters' postcard with a built in RFID for reading on the mobile phone.</p>

On the other hand, only 35 % of them are interested in letting family or friends see their location in the airport, while 42 % do not want to use this option.</p>
